- Software Engineer
* BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent required.
* Several years of software development experience.
* Extensive experience programming in C++ and/or Java.
* Enthusiasm for solving interesting problems.
* Experience with Unix/Linux or Windows environments, C++ development, distributed systems, machine learning, information retrieval, network programming and/or developing large software systems a plus.
- IT Field Technician
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct support for Linux, Mac, and Windows desktops/laptops both on the network as well as through remote VPN access.
* Participate in front-line user support, ticket escalations, office build-outs/expansions, task automation, and cross-team collaborative projects.
* Setup and support telecommunications equipment, video conferencing systems, and remote user access.
* Support all of councilmantechnologies corporate resources and applications.
* Write and review documents for both technical and non-technical audiences, including design, development, and reference documents.
Requirements:
* BS Degree required. Information Systems or Computer Science desirable.
* At least 2 years of Windows and Linux/UNIX desktop support experience. Apple Macintosh experience a plus.
* Expertise in deploying and supporting desktops/laptops, phone systems, video conferencing equipment, and various wireless devices.
* Experience with applications in a Linux and Microsoft networked environment.
* Experience with IT technologies, principles, practices, and operational best practices and understanding of LAN/WAN and mobile computing environments.
* The ability to rapidly adjust to changing priorities and make quick decisions with limited information.
* Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and customer service skills.
